Designing for social impact. Delivering digital with purpose.

🌍 Protecting Our Planet, Powering Progress Ref: PPN 06/20 (MAC 4) .

Deliver environmental benefits, reduce carbon, and improve sustainability.

Reduce our emissions and reach net zero by 2045

We’ve set science-based targets to reduce our carbon emissions, with a goal of cutting emissions by 31% by 2030. We track our footprint through Trace and comply with PPN 06/21 and SECR. Our team works remotely by default, and we design energy-efficient solutions for our clients and ourselves.

Improve the sustainability of our digital delivery

We promote paperless operations, low-emission hosting, and sustainable coding practices such as smart caching and serverless infrastructure. Our software is built with efficiency in mind, reducing data and energy usage across the board.

Support green behaviours and everyday action

Our team has access to benefits like Cycle to Work, remote work equipment schemes, and tree-planting initiatives. We run internal green campaigns and sustainability workshops that support both personal and professional change.

Help local communities manage and recover from the impact of the pandemic.

Support SMEs, VCSEs, and local suppliers

As a business founded and based in Leeds, we prioritise local and regional partnerships. We actively support small suppliers, social enterprises, and community organisations to access opportunities through simplified procurement, prompt payment, and reduced admin burden.

Work with ethical and values-aligned suppliers

We partner with organisations that pay the Living Wage, promote inclusive employment, and work towards their own environmental goals. Our supplier code of conduct outlines expectations around ethics, environment, and equity.

Build sustainability into everything we deliver

Our technical teams work with suppliers and cloud partners to optimise infrastructure. Whether it's reducing compute cycles, choosing green cloud regions, or applying sustainability scoring, we help clients understand and reduce their own footprint too.

Create new businesses, jobs, and skills; increase supply chain diversity and resilience.

Inspire and attract diverse talent through inclusive outreach

We regularly host students and early-career professionals through our placement programmes. From A-Level work experience to industry panels, we focus on giving young people access to tech careers especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Build a sustainable pipeline through partnerships

We collaborate with organisations like Code First Girls, Generation UK, and local schools to widen participation in digital careers. Our hiring and interview processes are flexible, accessible, and designed to reduce bias.

Support learning at every level

Every NewRedo team member has a personal development budget and access to profession days, mentoring, and role-specific growth plans. We believe growth shouldn’t stop at junior level everyone deserves to learn.

Reduce workforce inequality and improve diversity and inclusion.

Build a team that reflects our communities

We’re committed to representation across all levels of the business. Our inclusive hiring practices, objective interview process, and anonymised recruitment aim to remove barriers and bias.

Champion underrepresented voices

Our work with Code First Girls, Tech Returners, and Skills Bootcamps supports access for women, neurodiverse individuals, and those returning to work after a break. Our Ada Lovelace Day and Women in Tech Roundtables give voice to lived experiences that shape real change.

Make reward and progression fair

We have transparent promotion processes based on skills and outcomes, not time served. We track diversity and inclusion metrics across hiring, promotions, and pay equity and we act on what we learn.

Improve physical and mental health, and build resilient, connected communities.

Offer meaningful and flexible support

We provide 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme, hybrid working, and wellbeing stipends. Our people can choose what works best for them whether it’s quiet space, exercise, or time away.

Promote mental health and peer support

We have trained mental health first aiders, host monthly wellbeing sessions, and encourage open dialogue around stress, burnout, and work-life balance. Our Lunch & Learn sessions cover everything from resilience to focus.

Give back through time and action

Every team member gets two paid days per year to volunteer. From local schools to environmental projects, we support our team to contribute meaningfully. We also donate old equipment to charities that reduce digital exclusion for asylum seekers and low-income households.
