Servant leadership is often refereed to as a complement to a lean / agile software delivery approach. One of the traits sighted for servant leadership is to lead in a way that supports others and leadership in this context doesn’t mean you have to be the boss. Leading when your not in charge is something that anyone in any role can do and can help transform the effectiveness of any group.

Victoria Cassells has extensive leadership experience and has been closely involved with the servant leadership movement. She shared some of her experience at our Agile Yorkshire meetup to explain how the servant leader’s behaviour differs and can significantly amplify influence and impact.
